Texas starting pitcher Jason Jennings is out for the season after undergoing surgery to repair a tear in the flexor tendon of his right forearm, according to The Dallas Morning News.

"It's always disappointing when you lose pitching," Manager Ron Washington said. "We're going to miss him. We were looking for things from him, but sometimes you don't always get what you want."

Jennings was 0-5 with an 8.56 ERA this season. He signed a one-year deal worth a guaranteed $4 million in the offseason.
