| 12th May, 2008 - 6:55 pm | The Chicago Tribune - The Cubs are exploring the possibility of signing recently-released centerfielder Jim Edmonds, according to a report in The Chicago Tribune.
Manager Lou Pinella has long wanted another left-handed bat to complement Kosuke Fukudome, while Felix Pie has been inconsistent in center. Edmonds would allow the Cubs to send Pie to the minors for more steady work.
