The Seattle Mariners have signed Kenji Johjima to a three-year contract extension, the team announced Friday afternoon.

Terms of the deal were not announced.

?As an organization, we view quality major league catching as a scarce commodity,? Mariners' General Manager Bill Bavasi said. ?This extension allows us to feel very comfortable with our catching depth for the foreseeable future.?
