Through his two year stint as manager of the White Sox Ozzie Guillen has seen it all and heard it all and still is his own man. When people said he needed to be fired late last season he took things in stride. Like he always would tell the press I've got a job to do no matter what anybody thinks of me.
Now maybe Ozzie is going to have the last laugh on everyone who doubted his ability to bring a winner to Chicago. His Chicago White Sox's are the most surprised team of the season so far. With a 42-20 record and leading the American League Central all looks good in the Windy city for White Sox fans.
This years team are led by guys who just get the job done. People like Paul Konerko, A.J. Pierzynski, Mark Buehrle, and Jon garland have helped make the White Sox title contenders. But, this year's team has been more than a few players that are having exceptional years.
The White Sox's are never out of a game, with sheer determination and perservance the White Sox's have won many close games and battled back to win many others. This team isn't all about I, it's about team and you can see that eveytime they take the field.
Ozzie Guillen has pushed all the right buttons so far this season. If he continues to make the right moves the Windy city could be talking about a World Series Champion, but only time will tell if that happens. |
